We designed and managed executive compensation and benefits for the global corporation. My role expanded to include the new vice president of leadership and organization development and HR.* We worked closely with senior management and the Board of Directors, managing their complex executive compensation, benefits, and individual packages. We also worked with management globally, mentoring them for leadership growth and succession planning.* Throughout these highly sensitive, confidential processes, I maintained tight confidentiality, exercising the highest personal integrity and discretion. These vital traits were essential in my role as executive assistant and were highly prized by my executives.* Most activities involved working with people of diverse cultures. I treated them all with respect. I routinely scheduled international conference calls with people in widely different time zones. I varied schedules so that participants did not always have extremely early or late start times. I always included local time and dial-in numbers for all attendees in the meeting notices, attaching agendas and handouts, so that everyone had pertinent information in advance.* I actively participated in volunteer groups, such as assisting in the United Way campaign and providing feedback in a pilot program assessment of an online purchasing system. As chair of the employee wellness committee, I directed the committee in a renovation of the onsite fitness center, negotiating a budget, surveying client needs and expectations, and researching equipment for a comprehensive update, which resulted in a 41% increase in membership.
