The heartbeat of Boom!ng Learning Center (BLC) is to educate students on the “boom” capacity. The "BOOM” capacity is “basic optimism over the mind” – their ability to learn, understand, and apply knowledge to their unique situations.I am a seasoned educator with 24 years of experience in K-12 and adult education. I am an expert in understanding learners’ academic challenges, evaluating their aspirations, and developing a plan for growth.As principal at BLC, I have created an academic program for students in grades K-12 that puts them in control of their learning opportunities by helping them understand their individual talents and learn to collaborate with those who are different.I created a unique approach to student academic development:- Students control the learning environment.- Expert, certified educators assess each student’s talents and learning style.- Teaching strategies incorporate collaboration and differentiation.My Educational ApproachAs a student, I did not like being put into a box; therefore, I teach different approaches to mathematics, science, English, and Social Sciences. My teaching strategies allow students to maximize their learning environments using the “boom” capacity based on their preferred learning modality.
