I began at Flight Centre Travel Group in Auckland in 2014 as Accounts Payable Officer. 15 months later I was promoted to Assistant Accountant for the FCM brand of which I undertook numerous responsibilities as listed in my below Experience. I was constantly challenged and learnt so much through the various tasks and demands in the corporate environment. 6 months later I chose to make a transition to the Wellington office to be with my pregnant partner. This meant that I moved back to my original AP position as it wasn’t practical to be away from head office (AKL) with such an important support role for our travel managers.This shift in career momentum I took with both hands, and approached the AP role (WLG) differently this time with a much bigger focus on process improvements and being a leader for the less experienced team members.
