I leverage the expertise gained from my design degree within the UNDP Innovation Team to elevate service design proficiency. Through a deliberate application of sensemaking, system thinking, portfolio strategy, and dynamic learning management, I contribute design research support for the City Transformation Fund led by The Slovak Foundation under the UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub (IRH). This initiative serves as the primary knowledge and advisory hub for UNDP Country Offices within the Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS (RBEC), extending support across 19 countries and territories in the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) region.

Transitioning to EnergyLab from my previous role at Kantar allowed me to focus on project management, project coordination, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail in order to spearhead the establishment of the inaugural "clean energy business incubation program" in Cambodia.In this capacity, I achieved the following:Strategic Entrepreneurial Support: Through a series of carefully orchestrated business events, I strategically identified and nurtured potential entrepreneurs for EnergyLab's incubation program. Leveraging my qualitative research and human-centered design skills, I attracted and retained promising candidates, thus expanding the clean energy landscape in Cambodia.Business Development Facilitation: I guided the development of eight business teams, facilitating their validation in the EnergyLab Pre-incubation program. Specifically, I supported four teams to transition to the EnergyLab Incubation program, securing up to USD 10,000 in investment grants from UNDP. Additionally, these teams received guidance from experienced coaches and mentors. Subsequently, they iterated on their minimum viable products, conducted comprehensive prototype testing, engaged with customers, and generated revenue. Anticipated outcomes include transformative impacts on sustainable farming within the fruits, vegetables, and meats sectors by the close of 2020.

After my return from an exchange study in Cyprus, I embarked on my first professional role. Eager to delve into research, I focused on understanding the needs of Cambodian users across diverse research projects. During my time at Kantar, I honed my ability to create and develop project proposals aligned with client briefs. Recognized for my skill in designing tailored research methodologies, I also supervised fieldwork to ensure respondent data quality. Effective communication with the recruitment team was crucial, especially in navigating challenges.Central to each research effort was formulating insightful inquiries and conducting interviews, focus groups, and immersion studies with individuals from various nationalities—Cambodian, Japanese, and Thai. Rooted in qualitative research principles, I learned that data analysis begins early, not just during post-collection analysis. This understanding emphasized the importance of comprehending user behaviors, unspoken cues, and aligning perceived needs with aspirational objectives to derive meaningful insights.Each research project culminated in translating raw data into actionable insights, encapsulated in strategic recommendations. Proficiency in shaping data into coherent narratives that drove actionable outcomes became a cornerstone of my skill set.As I left this role, a mix of apprehension and comfort propelled me. However, it also signaled the need for change. Driven by a desire to apply my Kantar-acquired expertise to uplift underserved communities, I transitioned to the non-profit sector, aiming to leverage my skills for impactful change.
