About Bopha Ong

The commitment and passion in conducting research have gained from my academic background and my nature of curiosity in learning and educating people. I have over 6 years of research experience preparing educational conference presentation, research papers, journals and book publication, and thesis dissertation. I have been involved in a research team at the University of Toronto and have identified critical issues in teacher education and pedagogies such as the lack of teacher voices and the lack of being criticality in education by collecting data from online search, teacher reading book clubs, and analyzing the streaming video data of famous scholars in education. I also analyzed the data using qualitative methodologies for producing critical findings to be developed into conference papers. I also lead and produced my own thesis research project for over 5 years and turned into successful research finding results. My familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research and project management also stems from a unique combination of my practical work experience and my graduate course work such as: Qualitative Research Methods in Education; and International Project and Program Management. I have other relevant experience that strengthen my profession in research and administration. I possess administrative skills gained from my experience as an administrative coordinator. I also assisted the training sections for the schoolteacher training and prepared the reports for the Provincial Department of Education on a weekly basis.
