I am the Senior Vice President of Research & Development at Syniverse, a global leader in operator mobility solutions (5G signaling, roaming, clearing & settlement) and enterprise-class CPaaS messaging solutions (SMS/MMS, RCS, Whatsapp, Push). With more than 25 years of start-up and large scale experience in the software industry, I have a proven track record of driving technology strategy, product development, and operational excellence across multiple domains and geographies.My core competencies include software engineering, data science, devops, quality assurance, and architecture. I lead a talented and diverse team of professionals who are responsible for delivering innovative and scalable software, including high-throughput, low-friction, and secure messaging systems, anti-fraud, analytics, and machine learning platforms. I am passionate about creating value for our customers, partners, and stakeholders, and advancing the state of the art in the field of messaging and communication. I have also co-authored a technical handbook, published multiple articles, and obtained 13 patents in the areas of Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI/Machine Reasoning. Additionally, I serve as an advisory board member for cybersecurity at Fairfield University, where I share my insights and expertise on AI/ML approaches to detect and prevent fraud and spam over messaging channels.The picture on top is of my 1800s Peter Wright anvil.
