I've started my career as a software engineer (I even have a MSc in Artificial Intelligence) and, over the years, I've worn many hats, including developer, recruiter, tester, entrepreneur, business owner, tech leader and project manager. From all these perspectives, one thing became clear: that software development is a fascinating activity, but the source code is mostly a reflection of the people, environment and organizational dynamics behind it. Because of that, I went to study a little bit more, missing the theory for those “soft skills” necessary to find, develop and retain the best people. I now hold an MBA in Human Resources and have more than 15 years of experience working as a leader. Presently at CESAR, working as a data scientist and senior technical manager, trying to help the company and improve the data pipeline, policies, process and organizational structure, following a fully data-driven approach. My end goal is always to help colleagues and co-workers, as many as possible, to reach their full potential and be happy at work.
