Reporting directly to American DG Energy’s Co-CEO, Mr. Borges bridges the gap between the company’s On-Site Utility installations, Operations, Sales and Management, bringing the vital engineering expertise to fully optimize the company’s portfolio, whether an existing installation, an in-progress construction project or a sales opportunity. As the Chief Engineer for ADGE, Mr. Borges is responsible for supervising the Operations & Maintenance Team while supporting Sales’ efforts in addition to overseeing new project designs and construction processes.- Responsible for the performance and optimization of the ADGE On-Site Energy portfolio which includes CHP Units, Chillers and Boilers.- Manage, direct and support the Engineering Team in solving issues found in the company’s existing On-Site Utility installations, including the creation of site-specific scope of works designed to optimize or remedy issues found during site surveys. - Manage, direct and support Project Managers during the implementation phase, providing the proper engineering guidance to keep projects moving forward and within the metrics required by Management. Assist Project Managers with the execution and supervision of construction work and related contractors and subcontractors.- Responsible for overall quality control of new On-Site Utility installations including final walk-thru, start-up verification and commissioning process.- Support Operations & Maintenance Team in troubleshooting and solving issues found in existing Portfolio.- Interface with site owners/clients to assist in the resolution of operating concerns relative to the On-Site Utility installations. - Experience managing multi-personnel divisions within the company: Management, Engineering, Operations & Maintenance and Sales.

Mr. Borges main task and responsibility at Bright Power was to shape, guide and structure the Design & Implementation division, providing the required technical support and guidance to the engineering team to properly deliver the ERM performance expected by clients. Mr. Borges created the company’s CAD standard, field survey protocols, project management tools, bid process documentation and construction verification protocols. Mr. Borges was also a key player in other divisions of the company, directly supporting the Audit & Feasibility division in strengthening its engineering foundation and technically finessing recommendations for clients. The results of this support led the A&F division to increase productivity and deliver more consistent energy audits. He was also an invaluable asset to the Sales Team, where through direct support and collaboration, he was able to create, refresh and add important content to proposals and contracts to clients. The results of this work enabled Bright Power to fully define, price and ultimately deliver scopes of work clearly understood by all parties involved in the project.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer with SWA Mr. Borges has extensive experience in the fields of commissioning, retro-commissioning, energy consulting, HVAC design and retrofit, and mechanical system design. He works closely with design teams, recommending and helping implement cost effective energy-saving measures for both new construction and retrofit projects. Mr. Borges provides high performance design and commissioning services through the NYSERDA Multifamily Performance Program (MPP), including plan reviews, energy modeling, cost savings financial analyses and field inspections to verify proposed performance. Ongoing work includes several affordable and market rate new construction projects in New York City.
