Minera Pelambres, INCO ProjectThe project is located in the Punta Chungo los Vilos sector, to the northeast with the Illapel commune, Choapa province. The contract included the design and construction of two tunnels. The first is related to the construction of the two underwater tunnels (intake and discharge) using micro tunnel boring equipment. the tunnels emerge in the seabed around 20 m deep. The second corresponds to the installation of the 1,800 and 1,200 mm diameter HDPE pipes for outfalls and outfalls, which will be coupled to the collection and discharge tunnels. . Two 550 m long tunnels were built, 350 m of approximately 1km, of which approximately 1 km were drilled with Micro TBMs. For the part of the project I was working on, 2 EPB AVN Micro Tunneling Machines from the German manufacturer Herrenknecht AG were used.M-1740 M AVN 1800 TB- 2210 PR M-1276 M AVN 1800 TB- 2210 PRMain tasks:• Responsible for participating from the design and electrical assembly to the commissioning of all work equipment: AVN or EPB type tunnel boring machine, feed circuit pumps, cooling systems, hydraulic system, lifting equipment (gantry crane), separation plant for Aggregates, etc.• Installation, regulation and revision of the synchronism of the Groups electrogens.• Programming and monitoring of preventive and corrective maintenance for all machinery.• Responsible for repair, adjust and replace the defective parts of system components such as sensors, transducers, transmitters and programmable logic controllers cards Siemens S7-300 (PLC). Diagnosis and correction of failures in the control system.• Installation and commissioning of generator sets , Busbars / distribution panels and lifting and transport systems in medium tension.• . Working with sensors (optical, inductive ,level, capacitive).• . Detection of failures, wear, malfunctioning in equipment and its repair.• Control of spare parts and consumables necessary for the correct equipment operation

Alto Maipo, Hydropower projectThe project was located in San José de Maipo, southeast of the city of Santiago de Chile, in the province of Cordillera. The contract included the design and construction of tunnels, caverns, earthworks, civil works and the installations of hydraulic steelworks. Several tunnels and shafts were built with a total length of roughly 74 km, of which approximately 40 km was drilled using TBMs. For the part of the project where I was working were used 2 Hard Rock TBMs and 1 Double Shield TBM from the German manufacturer Herrenknecht AG.• S-887 Hard Rock Gripper TBM 7m• S-889 Hard Rock Gripper TBM 5m• S-1207 Double Shield TBM 7m Main tasks:• Performed basic equipment repairs and replaced parts.• Monitored machine operations and observed control panels and gauges to identify malfunctions.• Observed machines for proper functioning and made adjustments to meet specifications and complete work orders on-time and under budget.• Troubleshot machinery and programming issues to exceed production goals.• Routinely inspected equipment for preventive and emergency maintenance needs.• Repair and maintenance of equipment HK Herrenknecht AG; MCV _TMS Models are U 17 andU 52• Warrantyof the safe operation of the functionsof the system.
