In recent years the value of so called Non Technical Surveys (NTS) have been recognized. The aim of a NTS is to build a strong evidence base identifying the minimal feasible polygon or Confirmed Hazardous Area (CHA). The work to do consist of thorough investigations and geo verification of leads on a map. The value of this work is to use the scarce resources of mine clearing were it saves most lives and enable communities to prosper.DEDUCT is creating a new breed of mobile investigation app enabling flexible data entry as long as you do not know what you are looking for, but on the other hand as soon as you have arrived at a conclusion you want visual guidance on which data still has to be collected. Its not just another digitized multiple choice. Thereby, DEDUCT will enable less double data entry, better feedback on georeference points measured.The aim is to raise the ratio between area in which mines has been found in relation to the total area demand. That ration is as low as 10 %. We believe that ratio can be improved. Capacity building is needed which is why DEDUCT is developing a information cube that will enable improved debriefing.We will develop a field kit that can be used by demining operators.
