I am a chemical engineer with over nine years of research experience, currently serving as a postdoctoral researcher at the ICMM of the CSIC in Madrid, Spain. In my role, I am responsible for the experimental development of cathodes within the LiOn-HD project, which focuses on industrial research related to strategic materials for high-energy-density and cost-optimized lithium-ion batteries aimed at sustainable electric mobility. To achieve this, a sophisticated AI approach ensures an efficient methodology for defining novel formulations of state-of-the-art electrode materials. My responsibilities include developing and validating these materials using various analytical techniques.Back in the days, I obtained my B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from UCM and a joint master’s degree from UAM and URJC in Madrid, Spain. During my master’s program, I completed a three-month mid-term internship and subsequently conducted my master’s thesis at the ICMM. These experiences led me to receive an ERASMUS+ grant, allowing me to join the SOLEIL synchrotron at the ANTARES beamline in Gif-sur-Yvette, France. My technical competencies in managing project phases and effectively communicating with industrial stakeholders resulted in my promotion to a higher position for an additional three consecutive years. During this time, I had the opportunity to collaborate with international companies across diverse industries, including petrochemicals (TotalEnergies SE), cosmetics (L'Oréal SA), luxury watchmaking (Rolex SA), and automobiles (Nippon Paint Holdings Co., Ltd.). I was also responsible for our contributions to two national research projects: GERMANENE, which focused on the synthesis and characterization of germanene, and CASSIOPES, which analyzed 3D-integrated all-solid-state LIBs. Despite the valuable experiences gained at SOLEIL, my passion for science remained unfulfilled, motivating me to pursue a doctorate.I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the LSDRM of the CEA in Saclay, France. The primary objective of my doctoral project was to develop a fluidic micro-detection device that utilizes integrated dynamic NMR systems combined with 3D printing technologies. The innovation from my doctorate lies in the in-situ and operando monitoring of flowing liquid electrolytes, enabling the assessment of the state-of-charge of organic-based batteries through the analysis of an indicator molecule during cycling. Throughout this period, I gained valuable insights into the conceptualization and prototyping of electrochemical cells, coupled to different in-house NMR/MRI spectrometers.
