Hi LinkedIn Community! My name is Borja Hidalgo, an enthusiastic Industrial and Mechanical Engineer with a technical profile from Zarautz (Gipuzkoa), Spain. If you want to know more about me, please continue reading...I am 25 years old and I am taking my first steps in the world of work. Currently, I am working at SAPA Placencia, a leading company in the design of high quality transmissions for medium and heavy vehicles. In this company I am working as a Product Engineer in the Integrations department. In my work as an engineer I have had the opportunity to carry out the integral design of an eaxle with all that it entails: conceptual design, detailed design, analysis and definition of tests. I have had full responsibility for the design of the gearbox and all its peripheral systems. I am also involved in several high impact projects that are making me grow both technically and personally.Speaking more about my academic years, while studying Mechanical Engineering, I have had the privilege of being part of the Formula Student team of the university for 4 consecutive years. This team is dedicated to design, manufacture and test an electric vehicle and then compete in the so-called "Formula 1 of students" against the most prestigious universities in the world. My last two seasons, I have been fortunate to be Team Leader of the project, leading over 60 people, managing and directing people from many countries and meeting impressive technical challenges. Among those challenges, we were able to design and build the first full carbon fibre chassis in 2021, which has been improved in the following years. On the other hand, in my short but intense experience, I have learned to manage emotions, to manage time and to create a TEAM of PEOPLE capable of fighting for common goals.I am enthusiastic about continuing to develop professionally and I only look for challenges that imply a continuous improvement of my person and the people around me. I am also curious about business and I consider myself a proactive person and able to deal with any adversity that comes my way.
