• Responsible for all aspects of month end closing for a 340 room hotel with F&B and Pool operations.• Prepare month end closing journal entries and reconciliations, review and approve entries and reconciliations of Senior Staff Accountant• Prepare monthly and yearly P&L and Balance Sheet including variance analysis compared to budget and forecast• Respond to comments and questions from management company and Owners after review P&L and Balance Sheet• Manage and develop a team of five employees to better their understanding of policies and procedures• Work closely with other departments within the hotel to ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and properly followed each day

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows for seven One&Only Resorts properties around the globe with a combined EBITDA of $100 million. • Lead and manage a team of three professionals, including interviewing/hiring, objective setting, performance management, development and training.• Responsible for the monthly and annual accounting of fifteen One&Only related Kerzner International corporate overhead entities, including foreign-denominated entities. • Provide explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets for seven resorts and fifteen corporate overhead entities.• Responsible for special projects, including but not limited to new General Ledger software implementation, new financial reporting software, and new financial review reports.• Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts.
