Sam Bortz joined Raymond James & Associates in April 2012 after spending over five years working in finance and project management for a global construction company. Sam works with individuals and families to develop, implement, and review client’s financial plans using Raymond James state of the art Goal Planning and Monitoring System. This system enables Sam and his clients to create a virtual roadmap tailored to the client, taking into account objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizon. Sam and his team are focused on simplifying and automating all aspects of a client’s personal finances in preparation for a leisure filled and carefree retirement. By utilizing the resources available at Raymond James and collaborating with trusted partners, Sam helps clients seamlessly transition into retirement by offering guidance on Medicare, social security, and investment management. Sam is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, Accredited Asset Management Specialist and holds his Series 7, 66, and life/health insurance licenses. Sam also recently achieved the Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation which is a designation that focuses on ensuring advisors have a fundamental understanding of their fiduciary duties. Always looking to further his knowledge, Sam attended Xavier University in the evening where he earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. For his undergraduate studies, Sam attended Denison University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History. Sam is married to his beautiful wife Kara and they have two sons, Charlie and Theo.Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.
