New processes were documented and in practice since the first week in January 2014 with instantly improved results - zero shipping defects in all but 2 months . Manager Meetings and daily Team Leader Meetings which dramatically improved Communication, allowing new ideas to emerge, further improving the Process Changes Implemented.New Processes are now providing metrics that are being used to identify and make decisions on where we can make the greatest impact, eliminating bottlenecks and minimising the unnecessary use of Raw Materials and Labour. A Successful 5S Programme continued to be Maintained and Improved by the Staff, with hardly any further Management Engagement, leading to a more focused and better quality work environment. Apple Corp. was at the time the highest capitalised Tech Company in the world.- Significant Reduction in Headcount as process centralised into EMEIA Central Finance Team from the regions- Despite a $5 billion per month ledger and an already excellent performance before centralisation and despite the reduction in hedcount, STILL managed to raise the % Current Metric from 98% Current to often more than 100% Current, with more credit notes remaining outstanding than Invoices at the end of the month.-DSOs reduced to less than Credit Terms (Tight Credit Lines contributed as Product at the time was rationed as Apple couldn't produce iPhones and eventually iPads, quickly enough to match demand)- Created a Collections Reporting Tool so that all non collected cash could be catagorised and easlily explained to the business, so as to get buy in fro further upstream Process Improvement - Cerntralised Apple Store Collections (from their Buisness accounts) into the Finance Centre. This was a Challanging role as this was originally an extremley Sales Driven venture with very limited control over wide eyed Customers, many of whom originally took advantage.

This was a challenging Project undertaking with relatively poor and disparate processes upstream contributing to many issues at the Collections End. Not only did I have to adjust all of our Collections Processes for volume collections (multiples of thousands) (previously only Partners and Resellers in the 100's) I also collaborated with an in house IT Manager to totally redesign our EMEA Collections Tool. This tool became our worldwide Services Collections tool (Since sold to IBM and replaced with SAP, I understand). Again this was a Project with multiple moving parts, processes and geographies and a great team delivered significant improvement in metrics 46% current to excess 75% consistently, with less than 40% of the original headcount and resources and an almost elimination of invoices more than 60 days past due.-Article Published in year 2000 in International Treasury Magazine acknowledging the exceptional performance in Microsoft EMEA's Licensing and FPP Collections Management from 1997 to 1999.
