After working for over 25 years in the corporate world, I was convinced that I will not be able to achieve my financial goals as an employee. I took a plunge into building my own small investment firm. I worked hard to understand the various financial instruments such as insurance, mutual funds, stocks and similar options. I built up an impressive clientele within the first three years by working diligently as per the guidance of the companies that I was representing. I helped people take financial control of their lives by helping them to set aside suitable amounts of money at a regular interval. Today I personally manage a portfolio of around 100 million for over 400 clients. My financial business got stabilized within the first three years of its inception. I have diversified into other lines of business within the same domain and added more and more products over time.

Maharastra

As the Divisional Sales Manager for the company, I was heading the entire State of Maharashtra and was responsible for leading a team of forty five dedicated sales people, five area managers and two regional managers.I closely interacted with the biggest distributors and retailers of my state. I got a hands on experience of running a business because I had to ensure that my distribution channel was making money. I worked closely with my team and understood the business model of the channel. This is when I was getting interested in starting my own business as the idea of owning one's own business was taking shape in my mind.

Maharastra

I was head hunted by the CEO of the company to start the operations of a new division of the company from scratch. I was given the freedom to operate like a business owner to build and run the new division of the company. Setting stiff sales targets, opening new markets,recruiting and training new team of sales representatives and Area Sales Managers, integrating the company's products into the SAP of the various hospitals and launching new products were all part of my responsibility. I did exceedingly well and the company increased my responsibility and promoted me to the position of the Divisional Sales Manager. This was a role where I experienced the power of the Internet and computerized sales management systems as a business multiplier. I was the star performer and was contributing heavily to the company's revenues and profits.

Orissa & Bihar

I was responsible for leading a team in my area and achieve the company's sales objectives. I had to build my team from scratch when I took over the region. Because of my own experience on the field it was easy for me to spot the real talent. I lead the recruitment process personally. The key to my success was my ability to pass on the skills I had developed during my days as a sales representative and help my team achieve their targets. Bihar

I was primarily responsible for increasing the customer base of the company thereby improving sales revenue. I organized scientific sessions for doctors wherein I was responsible to be the bridge between the doctors of my region and the company's product development team. Achieving consistent sales numbers and increasing market share of the company's products were my key achievements.

Jamshedpur And Muzaffarpur

I joined Hoechst which is now taken over by Sanofi. I was responsible for increasing the sales of the company by meeting influencers both in the Corporate sector and individual professionals. I had a key role in launching new products in the eastern region of India. The experience allowed me to work closely with self employed professionals in the medical field and I got a deep insight into their practice and into their personal life.
