Developing RESTful web services for Quinyx.

Developing Quinyx, a cloud based, mobile first workforce management software. Quinyx currently serves close to 500,000 employees on its platform. Clients include McDonald’s, London City Airport, Burger King, Rituals, Swarovski, InterContinental Hotels Group, Boots, and many more.I am a member of the backend team responsible for developing core functionalities, RESTful and SOAP APIs. We are maintaining high performance of the system with a database containing a few billions of records while at the same time our user base is rapidly growing. We work as a distributed Scrum team and practice self-leadership.

Co-Leading a team of 12 developers and 2 testers. Interviewing clients, creating tasks, helping team members with any questions they might have, reviewing and vetting code. I have a key role in making decisions about software architecture and development priorities. I spend around half of my working hours coding.

Development of SaaS Human Resource Management application for Norwegian market. Application manages highly customizable shift plans, work stats, company processes, absences, employee talks, injuries, measures taken, law obligations, notifications and provides various reports. Our biggest client has around 30.000 employees. Most of the time I spend doing PHP/MySQL. My primary responsibilities are new features development and PHP/MySQL optimizations.

Development of location based social network service using OAuth, Google Maps API, HTML5 for mobile geolocation, etc. DB design, web/mobile application planing and developing of ticketing, photo and QR code management applications. Took part in MVC framework and API development.
