Final solution consisted of VMWare ESXi, VMWare Horizon and vRealize, Windows 2012 and Windows 10, Active Directory, and additional customized software. -

Conducted physical- as well as cyber- disaster exercises at both a technical and policy level, reported to the CIO on the findings and developed recommendations for improvement. Rewrote agency policy to ensure technical and legal requirements were satisfied.Performed business analysis on a large Oracle RAC database project. Made recommendations to speed time-to-production while reducing costs by identifying where the client could purchase pre-made solutions rather than developing in-house.Supported the Deputy CIO of a US Intelligence Agency during a large cybersecurity exercise conducted by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence with full participation of the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. Post-exercise work included whitepapers on lessons learned, mitigating all findings to prevent attacks, as well as follow-up in-house exercises to strengthen cybersecurity responses and recovery should a breach occur.Contracted to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to perform technical planning to improve reliability, availability and security in existing IT architecture. -

Responsible for the entire project which consisted of high speed servers, petabytes of enterprise-class data storage, multiple highly available database clusters, application server front ends for high speed database search and retrieval, virtualized server farms using VMWare, Solaris 10, Linux HPC clusters, large shared-memory HPC compute nodes and support for various customized GOTS and COTS software. Assisted SRA with government proposal as a subject matter expert (SME) in the area of Networks and High Performance Computing. SRA was one of six primes selected for this $6.6B five-year IDIQ.

Represented SRA International on this commission and served on the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Subcommittees, focusing on security and reliability / disaster recovery. The final report was delivered to the Federal CIO and Secretary of Commerce in July 2011.
