CurrentAs a State Parks Lifeguard II, I specialize in aquatic safety, being able to detect and rescue persons and vessels in distress; take command in emergencies; perform first-aid and resuscitation procedures. Other duties include assisting the public and advising visitors of park rules and regulations. I regularly operate emergency vehicles, inspect and perform maintenance on emergency rescue equipment and vehicles; and other duties as needed.I have in-depth experience in special event management, training of other lifeguard staff, planning work schedules and assignments; dispatching and leading a group of seasonal lifeguards engaged in lifesaving activities.
