I am a Business Management student at Oregon State University with a passion for people. My college journey has taken me in many different directions and I am confident that I've ended up exactly where I'm supposed to be. I'm interested in pursuing Human Resources as my career when I graduate. Currently, I'm planning on taking the SHRM CP certification exam upon graduation in March of 2023. Working as a manager for a small business taught me the value of implementing systems and advocating for employee success to successfully accomplish organizational goals. My experience has led me to have a passion for HR avenues such as employee relations, all that comes with employee recruitment and onboarding, and training them to be the best version of themselves they can be.My specialization in HR along with my internship on the leadership team for the OSU HR/Management association is assisting me in learning best practices in all avenues of Human Resources. Studying political science for the first year of my schooling allows me to have a strong understanding of the laws and regulations that impact the field of Human Resources. Along with political science I also briefly studied communications which helped enhance my communicative nature. These experiences in my education have helped me gain confidence to become a strong leader and member of any team.
