I like to make things happen. I am intrigued by complex business challenges and excited by opportunities to contribute to an outcome. Whether it be in a collaborative context or alone, I like investigating and seeking advice from experienced people and experts. I like technology and the evolution of it. I do not always understand it and it drives me to want to know more about it and try it. I have had roles in operational support, quality assurance, architecture and management and had an amazing time learning and developing the experience and skill I have today.I am a friendly, collaborative and trusting individual who likes to help out even though I may not know anything about the topic or the challenge but, sometimes a different angle of attack creates new approaches and ideas. You do not need to be a "know it all" to add value to someone's life. I value people's opinions and ideas and love to see them brought to life. People ask me: "what do you do?" It is sometimes hard to explain as not even I always know what I am doing exactly. All I know is I am always trying to make things better, to make a difference, to create value and solve problems. I have been doing some work on CI/CD models lately and the role of Continous Architecture and found that if an organisation is not structured to embrace the power of Continuous Architecture or any LEAN or AGILE way of operating, it is a daunting task to introduce the concept which in its own right is a challenge that intrigues me. I have been given the accountability to formalise an architecture practice, complete with structure, operating model, governance et al which I did, just to find out the organisation is going to restructure and make my work a little more challenging. Again I took it on and brought two very distinctly different architecture practices together to work as one unit through shared values and technology.I find that even though business stakeholders have great ideas, they do not quite always know how to make it happen. What I have learnt is simplification comes from complexity....this means the simpler you want to make the user experience (self-service) the more complex the technology becomes (microservices, robotic process automation, digital and mobile experience management and more). It is, therefore, my corporate responsibility to be the product broker for the business, to keep it simple enough for these stakeholders to understand what needs to be done yet be able to have the complex technology discussions with vendors, developers and system integrators.
