During my career I have been involved in gathering user requirements, defining project goals, analysing possible solutions, designing data structures, defining metadata and identifying team strengths and skills gaps, as well as training team members to fill those gaps.I have hands on experience in creating, maintaining and querying databases in a variety of formats: Access, Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Influx, TSDB and MongoDB; as well as processing flat files, JSON, XML, CSV, fixed width field files and more low level streams via UDP, serial and parallel ports. I can write and maintain code written in a variety of languages, including C, PHP, JavaScript, Digital Systems MUMPS, PL*SQL, i386 assembly language, Python, MATLAB, Java and Perl; and have worked as both a Linux and a Windows server administrator. Finally I have practical experience with installing, maintaining and administering networks and fault finding and maintaining electronic equipment, including Arduino microcontrollers, Raspberry PI computers and the CSIRO developed 0194 board.
