I began as the Senior Manager for Analytics Specialist SAs responsible for the US Southeast and LATAM regions covering all industries. In the first year, I achieved 102% attainment against very aggressive mid-double digit growth targets. I grew into a leader of leaders role eventually responsible for all of the US-East, LATAM, and our specialty segments leading an organization of 24 Specialist SAs and covering over $1 billion in annual revenue. I frequently engaged C-level executives to advise on corporate data strategy and supported many of AWS' largest events including multiple Summits and re:Invent. My teams were consistently ranked in the top 3 out of 40+ SA teams across virtually every KPI and goal, and #1 in many categories. Starting out in 2024, after a major re-organization at AWS, I currently lead the NAMER Analytics Specialist SA team supporting the FSI, Auto & Mfg, and Retail & CPG industries.

Led a 21-person software development team focused on business intelligence and data engineering. This team was the primary enterprise data warehousing team for all HR data at Amazon. We hosted a data warehouse, data lake, and self-service BI platform; all based on native AWS services (Redshift, EMR, Quicksight, etc). During 2019, we simultaneously deprecated a legacy Oracle BI stack that included OBIEE and Oracle 12c databases. We migrated the entire user base of ~4,000 unique users in a six month period by replicating all datasets and dashboards from one environment to the other. We also deprecated or migrated workloads for 4 distinct services running on 24 physical servers to native AWS in a 3 month period.

My team provided people analytics products and services for the entire Amazon enterprise, supporting thousands of BI professionals, tens of thousands of business leaders, and more than one million employees. This included data engineering, ETL development, data modeling, support for visualization layers, data governance, and end consumer training and support.Our technology included Microstrategy, Tableau, OBIEE, Redshift, Glue, EMR, StepFunctions, Lambda, SNS/SQS, S3, Route 53, EC2, EFS, CloudWatch, CloudTrails, and more. In this role, I led all aspects of technical product management including strategy, feature ideation and prioritization, roadmap management, user training and support, etc. I was asked to lead the entire organization after 5 months in this role.

Built a team of data engineers, analysts, and research scientists that focused on centralizing all data about employees at Amazon into a single data warehouse to provide self-service reporting capability via a Microstrategy presentation layer. The team also produced central, standardized reports for key metrics and conducted deep-dive research into the most critical business challenges we faced. Operationalizing this research via web-based tools was a top priority.The team onboarded and integrated more than 20 distinct primary data sources into the Redshift-based warehouse with over 15 TB's of data. By proactively seeking out partnerships with peer teams across other Amazon divisions, together, we architected company-wide standard datasets for most key metrics. This achieved both millions of dollars in cost savings by eliminating and avoiding duplicative efforts and allowed the business to analyze data with common, standardized attribute and metric definitions. Our team also hosted infrastructure for several peer teams, enabling others to leverage our work to shortcut their development timelines. For example, the HR Investigations organization was able to launch their new platform within 4 weeks by leveraging our pre-existing infrastructure work.

Lead a team of 18 direct reports to provide two distinct services to the Operations & Customer Service division of Amazon.com:PeopleInsight - a full-stack business intelligence solution based on MicroStrategy, AWS Oracle RDS, EC2, Redshift, S3, and Informatica Cloud integration manager. This BI platform has a global user base of 750 HR and operations professionals supporting a 150,000 employee organization. The underlying data systems comprise over 1 TB of people data. The team manages over 50 integration jobs daily and supports over 1,000 scheduled reports in addition to building custom dashboards for our clients. It has been very exciting to see it grow!HVH - a custom high-volume (hourly) hiring platform built on the Salesforce foundation. My team provides software configuration and testing services as well as post deployment support. This is a global team with elements based in both the US and India. We have resolved over 25,000 tickets and deployed the solution to new countries over the past 5 months.

 Operationalized long-term strategy for a squadron of 645 soldiers and officers responsible for governing and securing a population of over 250,000 Iraqis that was highlighted by GEN Petraeus as a model for the entire theater of operations and used in case studies on counter-insurgency at the Phoenix Academy. Coordinated and synchronized the efforts of all Coalition Force combat elements to include air, land, and sea for all operations in a 182 square kilometer battle space that resulted in the capture of over 60 high value terrorist leaders and a 90% decrease in violent activities in the area. Supervised and coordinated the development and construction of five Iraqi police stations and recruitment of over 2,500 police officers.

 Achieved the highest operational readiness rate of any unit in a Stryker brigade of over 4,000 soldiers. Managed the day-to-day operations of 180 soldiers and officers and $40,000,000 of equipment through three deployments with zero lost-time accidents or property losses.

 Built a new reconnaissance troop from the ground up into a fully-outfitted, fully mission capable unit of 88 troopers over a 12-month period. Led the way in transformation across the entire squadron being the first unit to reach each milestone of mission readiness.

 Delivered superior performance in every quantifiable metric while directly supervising a 16-soldier recon platoon in the areas of mission readiness, training, morale, and welfare. Selected for early promotion ahead of peers based on exceptional performance

 Recognized by the squadron commander as the top staff officer in the detachment while serving as the senior human resources officer for an air cavalry squadron of 340 soldiers. Managed all finance, personnel, legal, and administrative actions and supervised the evaluations system with a staff of five soldiers.
