I worked as a marketing representative doing Afordable Care Act education, lead our Native American outreach program, coordinated the company's grant and sponsorship program and oversaw the Blue Bear mascot program. As part of an amazing public relations team, we focused on constant, deliverable communications at the statewide, local and personal levels.

I wrote a background informational piece for a soon-to-be-published book on urban redevelopment, re-tooled the language/layout for the business’ marketing brochure and updated the office filing system and layout. The people here at the GNTC are absolutly wonderful and dedicated professionals working to bring an uptown style to downtown Helena.

Working for a small business in a small town gave me the opportunity to aquire and develop a wide variety of skills and abilities. I was able to interact with consumers at a very personal level and learn how to use marketing and advertising strategies to increase business production and sales. I was able to design different campaigns, utilize different products, and manage budgets in order to accomplish our goals. Taking on the leadership of this struggling business was a challenging, yet eventually rewarding experience. I was able to bring together the past board and new recruits to create a new, innovative, and successful business model. It started with directing an “Under 35 Club" revival to bring in new business by creating an inviting place for younger consumers. By the end of my one-year term, we were able to successfully transform a negative balance into solvency.

I used my newly developed business skills to help a stagnant business create a new strategic marketing plan and implement a new training program for the employees. By utilizing a public outreach design focused on crowd sourcing and networking, we were able to increase sales and provide additional jobs to the community.
