Implementation, reporting and monitoring of FREXUS project activities in the project countries (Mali, Niger, and Chad), Act as the FREXUS project liaison in Niger for NBA, in coordination with the GIZ team in Germany and the GIZ-NBA regional water program; (iii) Provide advice to partner organizations on the implementation of the FREXUS project both at the regional level (Niger River Basin Authority - NBA and Lake Chad Basin Commission - LCBC) and at the national level on the NEXUS approach, the interaction between natural resource management, climate change impacts and conflict/security and related issues; (iv) Ensure the exchange of information on the progress of the FREXUS project implementation between project staff, partners and other institutions; Support the implementation, testing and development of tools with the Water, Peace and Security Partnership (WPSP) in selected pilot areas in the 3 countries; Support the design and implementation of participatory approaches for the development of NEXUS (water-energy-food) action plans in the intervention areas (linking natural resources, climate change, and security/conflict); Design and implement communication, awareness raising, and capacity-building activities for identified partners and key stakeholders.

Development, implementation, and monitoring of State Department environmental and safety guidelines and standards in Embassy operations. Capacity building and training of workers in the environment, health, and safety. Reporting and implementation of Environmental Management policies.

Environmental liability management, remedial investigations, response design, and experience working with regulatory agencies and local communities. Managed environmental regulatory registries in several African countries including Niger, Nigeria, Morocco, Kenya, and Ghana. Completed several (15+) environmental and water resources assessment projects in more than eight (8) African countries. Responsibilities also include fieldwork, data collection, analysis, and reporting for multi-national clients in water resources modeling and evaluation, climate change impacts as well as site assessments.
