• Created the industry’s leading cloud identity platform. Eric led its design and pioneered the concept of the Trust Fabric® integration broker, unified policy management, identity proxy architecture, HTTP-Federation.
• Raised $38,000,000 in venture financing. Raised 4 rounds of up-round financing (from seed through Series C).
• Established global distribution. Led early sales efforts and enabled strategic OEM partners to resell Symplified powered solutions. Symplified is the fastest growing cloud identity company with more than 4,000,000.
• Built a world-class team. Recruited and led an incredible team that achieves amazing things, scaling from 3 to nearly 80 people worldwide.

• Eric founded Securant Technologies in 1995 while a student at UC Berkeley just as the world was moving to the Web and Internet computing and needed a new way to secure and manage access to apps at massive scale.As CTO.
• Pioneered the identity management market. ClearTrust was the first commercial WAM product that managed access and SSO to Web apps and was also the first user management and provisioning solution. Eric co-authored.
• Created the industry’s leading Web Access Management product. Securant was cited as the most innovative player in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant report on Web Access Management. ClearTrust pioneered the concept of Unified.
• Sold Securant for $140,000,000 to RSA in the largest transaction in security in 2001. - Securant serves as the identity platform for RSA (now EMC). Securant successfully raised ~$37M in venture financing.
• After years of lean bootstrapping, Securant took on venture capital and built out an enterprise sales team and quickly ramped revenues to a $20M run rate with several hundred enterprise customers.
• Built a world-class team. Securant bootstrapped for 4 years with 26 employees and then rapidly scaled the team in 2000 to nearly 300 employees.Upon acquisition by RSA Eric decided to pursue angel investing.
