Mark Bowen is a Senior VP- Head of Investments for Dalfen Industrial and is responsible for leading the acquisitions, development, and operations on the west coast region, and overseeing the firms’ investment activities across the US. Mark brings over 30 years of experience in real estate and finance, from both the private and public institutional sectors. During his career he has transacted on over $30 billion in real estate across the U.S. Prior to joining Dalfen, Mark was a Senior Vice President with DCT Industrial Trust, Inc. (NYSE: DCT), the second largest industrial REIT in the United States, for 14 years. In this role, he was responsible for capital deployment, development, acquisitions, leasing, as well as management of teams in multiple markets. Mark also spent 15 years with General Electric Real Estate in various positions, the most recent of which was as the Western Director of Investments and Development. In this role, he managed several offices in the western U.S. and he and his team originated or developed, Industrial, multi-family, office and retail opportunities.Mark received his B.S. in Business Management and Finance from Colorado State University. Mark is an active member of NAIOP and serves on one of their National Forums. He is also a sponsor of the Denver and Phoenix Chapters of SIOR.

Established acquisition and development program for industrial real estate across the western US. Directed cross-functional teams in multiple locations. Provided leadership and direction on numerous acquisitions, developments, leasing, dispositions and repositioning initiatives. Managed 4M square foot portfolio of properties in Denver and Phoenix area.• Negotiated acquisitions / development of 15M square feet, $905M total capitalization of new business for DCT.• Expanded portfolio in western markets of Seattle, California, Denver, Phoenix and South Texas by analyzing individual market conditions to identify optimal development / acquisition opportunities, building strong working relationships with brokers / principals and negotiating complex contracts to close.• Penetrated Seattle’s complex real estate market and grew portfolio from zero to $3M square feet through acquisitions and executing the first development to purchase 85 acres and build 4 buildings (960+k square feet).• Started DCT’s development platform in Denver with the initial acquisitions and entitlement of 3 parcels of land, enabling the development of a 168K square foot building.• Managed portfolio’s fast growth by hiring, training and leading cross-functional teams in key locations..

Served as an executive-level general partner on overall company strategy and execution. Responsible for the acquisitions of multi-family transactions throughout the western US to include originating, underwriting, negotiating purchase prices and contracts, due diligence, deal structuring, financing and closing of all transactions. Member of Investment Committee which evaluated for approval all company deals. Charged with all dispositions for the Western US.• Originated new business of more than 6K multi-family units.• Hired, developed and managed internal / external teams of analysts, brokers, environmental and engineering teams, legal and property managers.

Managed 3 offices in Denver, Orange County, and Seattle and supervised a team of professionals to originate new opportunities for development, acquisitions and joint venture business within GE Real Estate. Oversaw asset management in these markets.• Collaborated within core team of 3 senior leaders charged with generating new business and growth opportunities to generate profitability and net income.• Led small team in originating, negotiating, underwriting, approval and close of $300M in real estate transactions.• Negotiated the asset dispositions and partner buyouts generating $16.5M of net income in 2000.
