I work on curriculum for both adult and youth Swedish language and culture classes. I am the lead teacher for Svenska Skolan, geared towards students of mixed fluencies, ages 4-12. I also teach to Adult Beginning Swedish classes using the textbook På Svenska.

I assist a coordinator to help manage a portion of programming at the American Swedish Institute. This includes public/private events like book signings, pre-school programs, heritage events, handcraft workshops and fairs, assist in museum exhibit work, among other tasks. I am also responsible for a great deal of special events planning including Swedish heritage events including ASI's Julmarknad, Midsommar and Cocktails at the Castle series.

Semester in Sweden 2013 is a study abroad program run through Gustavus Adolphus College. This program gives students the opportunity to spend an entire semester abroad in Sweden while traveling throughout the entire country. The group consisted of myself, my colleague, and ten students. I was responsible for assisting my colleague in any administrative duties necessary, such as travel and scheduling details, as well as working to accommodate all students and their needs. I was formally instructing the students in Swedish, using textbooks and curriculum consistent with the standards of Gustavus Adolphus College.

I worked with Växjö Kommunföretag as a project leader for the Trästad (Tree City) 2012 project. My responsibilities included marketing and communications, conference planning, project meetings as well as hosting and presenting for international study visits. I also did all of the translating needed in various documents/publications between Swedish and English.
