Joshua Bowen is a Member in Warren Averett’s Audit Division and serves on the Firm’s Audit Best Practice Leader Committee, and is part of the Firm’s Financial Services Industry Group. He began his public accounting career in 2005 and has provided auditing, attestation and consulting services to a variety of industries; however, he has focused heavily on providing external and internal audits and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti‐Money Laundering (AML) compliance consulting to financial institutions. He performs multiple presentations and trainings throughout the southeast on topics ranging from current expected credit losses (CECL) to lease accounting, including the annual Community Banking Update for the Alabama Society of CPAs. He also leads the Firm's Audit Innovation Lab which is made up of young professionals, selected by Firm leaders, to engage them in a "think-tank" environment to pursue ideas and solutions that are innovative, meaningful, practical, actionable, creative and transformative.
