Led a team of 100+ talented engineers, product managers, designers, TPMs, partnerships and other XFN partners to launch and operate Stripe Apps and the Stripe App Marketplace. Stripe Apps is a new way for users to extend Stripe and streamline operations for their business. Apps embed custom UI in the Dashboard and orchestrate the Stripe API. Developers can build apps for their own businesses or publish them to the Stripe App Marketplace (marketplace.stripe.com) to serve over one million Stripe users. Led a team of senior product managers on FB gaming, covering gaming videos & community (fastest growing live gaming platform globally, 200%+ YoY growth), gaming tab, app, and tournament products, giving hundreds of millions of people globally a home for gaming and building a thriving and inclusive global streaming creator community.During this time, I was also the founding product manager of Lasso, a new video app that lets you create short, fun videos and share them with friends. In Sep 2020, the Lasso team transitioned to support Instagram Reels.

Founded Facebook Marketplace - helping people to discover, buy and sell things locally with each other. FB Marketplace is the first at-scale product that expanded Facebook beyond its social use case. In addition to leading the team, I drove most of the executive reviews (including bi-weekly reviews with Mark Zuckerberg a few months before launch). Today over a billion people in over 70 countries use Marketplace every month, and Marketplace is also one of the most retentive products on Facebook. Marketplace is the first (and only) successful at-scale Facebook product that does not rely on News Feed and the social graph. In addition to the Facebook Marketplace, I also led the teams that launched: - Home rentals on Marketplace, a dedicated browse and search consumer experience, including 360 photos, and partnering with industry leaders such as Zumper and ApartmentList. Marketplace is one of the leading rental sites in the world. - Autos on Marketplace, a dedicated browse and search consumer experience, and partnering with industry-leading players such as Kelly Blue Book and Cars.com. Real-time messaging was also introduced to dealerships across the US at scale. Marketplace is now one of the leading online used autos sites worldwide. - Buy and sell groups are a significant driver of commerce on Facebook. Over 700 million people use buy and sell groups every month. - Services on Marketplace, starting with home services, we launched a dedicated experience that matches people with vetted and highly rated local services professionals from HomeAdvisor, Handy, and Porch. In addition, I revitalized the Offer ads product with a new strategy and ran early pilots with key advertising partners.

Examples of work: - At annelutfen in Istanbul, I worked closely with the executive, design and engineering teams to rebrand annelutfen.com, to overhaul the web site and to build out a mobile presence. Also assisted with fundraising and investment pitching. Annelutfen.com is Turkey's premier e-commerce site focused on the infant and mum vertical. - At MyLuxBox in Shanghai, I led the product and BD teams; closed deals with brands such as L’Oreal; launched the baby and mum vertical. MyLuxBox is a Zhen Fund backed (led by Sequoia Capital China and Xu Xiaoping) startup that operates Asia's most successful luxury sampling website.

One of the world’s first non-profit online legal aid services providing free legal advice to those who lack access to it with over 80 volunteer lawyers. Validated the idea in 3 weeks, built the product in 6 weekends and launched the service in 10 weeks. Margaret Wilson, the former New Zealand Attorney General and the chief proponent of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, was LawSpot’s patron. LawSpot is now part of the Community Law Centre of New Zealand

Launched Treat Me, Trade Me's local commerce platform (www.treatme.co.nz) and one of the largest daily deals for small to medium businesses in Australasia. The head of product role saw me leading both web and mobile products.Before launching Treat Me, I worked in the Strategy and New Ventures group of Trade Me. I identified and built new businesses, evaluated market entry strategies, and grew existing business lines across a variety of industries including dating, travel, general items and classifieds in jobs, property and autos.Trade Me is New Zealand’s largest eCommerce Marketplace and classifieds platform (“eBay and Craigslist combined”). During my time there, the company had a market cap of over US$1.6 billion and generated over 60% of all NZ domestic traffic.
