As Editorial Manager I am responsible for researching, creating and developing unique content for inbound marketing campaigns. As part of this role, I formulate bespoke content strategies, pitch them to clients, write project briefs, commission freelance copywriters/journalists, edit copy and manage budgets while also providing additional copywriting services when required. In addition, I work closely with the digital marketing team to refine email and paid campaigns to deliver the best possible results for our clients. I have a basic understanding of Hubspot/Wordpress platforms and am developing these skills through online learning programmes.

After leaving AFP Relaxnews I worked as a freelance writer contributing and editing articles across a variety of topics ranging from fashion through to contemporary French culture.

Working for AFP Relaxnews, a leisure focused newswire service affiliated with the Agence France-Presse (AFP), I was responsible for producing up to eight wires per day on topics such as fashion, technology and internet trends for clients including The Independent, New York Daily News and Yahoo! News. Project management •During my time at AFP Relaxnews I was responsible for managing several interdepartmental projects including our yearly coverage of Cannes Film Festival. This role involved the production and coordination of “flash” pieces, in depth articles and slideshows between the French and English teams and journalists working on site for the AFP.•In 2012 I also headed and co-ordinated large project conducted by AFP Relaxnews for Yahoo! News which involved the production of a series of articles, interactive web based playlists and slideshows around the topic of “Popular summer holiday destinations”; the finished package was published across Yahoo! News. Development of social media barometers •In 2011 I approached social media statistics and analytics provider Famecount (later Starcount ) and working closely with the company, until my departure from Relaxnews in 2013, developed a series of cross platform, international, social media barometers allowing us to gauge the internet popularity of everything from musicians to brands across the world and therefore alter our content accordingly and stay ahead of the curve. •Additionally from 2012-2013 working in collaboration with CITEAIR, AIRNOW and with data provided from the American Embassy in Beijing I developed an international index of air quality which was published twice daily by AFP Relaxnews for a number of clients including France 24.

Initially a three month internship then later as a regular freelance contributor I wrote numerous articles on Beijing’s cultural scene for web and print based magazine City Weekend, part of the Ringier China group.

A three month writing and editing internship. Duties include submission of articles, interviews and research. Co-wrote the cover article of City Weekend Beijing October 1st-21st.

Freelance contributor for this pay-walled educational portal designed to teach English school children the basics of Chinese language and culture.

Following the completion of my degree in East Asian Studies at the University of Sheffield I sought experience in China where initially I worked as a teacher. In this role my responsibilities included teaching English to young children and coordinating events between the school and the parents.

Contributing regular articles to print based; Sheffield focused, music magazine Radio Coma and coordinating between artists, venues and producers to promote the publication.
