As a Planning Policy Assistant, I prepared and implemented local plan documents. I monitored development progress and contributed to the production of residential and non-residential land availability assessments, Housing Flows Reconciliation, Brownfield Land Register and the Annual Monitoring Report. My role included assessing planning applications against the Council’s policies, preparing responses to other local authorities and organisations, and advising customers on planning policy matters. I also assisted in managing GIS data within the Borough, maintained the Council’s planning policy web pages, and supported public consultations and promotional events to engage the community and stakeholders. Additionally, I managed information within the Objective online consultation system to ensure accurate and timely publication of planning documents.
