The Amici Chamber Ensemble has been at the forefront of the Canadian chamber music scene in the past two decades. Founding members, clarinetist Joaquin Valdepeñas, cellist David Hetherington and recent addition, pianist Serouj Kradjian invite some of the finest musicians to join them in eclectic programming and projects, at the same time celebrating friendship through music; hence the name Amici. Some of the many renowned artists who have performed with Amici in their renowned concert series at the Glenn Gould Studio are James Ehnes, Isabel Bayrakdarian, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Benjamin Bowman, Russell Braun, Michael Schade, Cho-Liang Lin, Jaime Laredo, Andre Laplante and James Sommerville.Responsible to the Board of Directors and working closely as a partner with the three Artistic Directors (David Hetherington, Joaquin Valdepenas and Serouj Kradjian) who develop the programming. The Executive Director is a forward thinking and self motivated individual. The Executive Director is the senior administrative officer of the organization, generally responsible for financial, administrative, personnel, event-management, marketing and publicity as well as contributing (and executing) ideas for fundraising.

The Executive Assistant handles all aspects of administration and communication for the General Director’s office, including: all correspondence, appointments, travel bookings, internal and external communications (Board members, artists, COC staff, other opera companies, government officials, donors and the general public).
