Context: County-seat (Gulf County), multi-generation, multi-staff church on a newly-developing region of the Florida Gulf Coast.

Context: Church comprised of engineers, executives, scientists, and attorneys, with a mixture of small business owners, school teachers, police officers, some retirees, and 6 paid staff. Located in fast-growing Windsor, about 45 miles due north of Denver, Colorado, a bedroom community to Ft. Collins, Loveland, and Greeley.Growth: Led the church from declining conditions to incredible new growth in various age groups, but primarily in the 30-50 range. Sunday worship attendance had doubled and was continuing to grow at the time of my departure. Initiatives: Helped lead the church to develop and nurture: (1) a comprehensive “first impressions/lasting impressions” strategy, including an updated signage/welcome area facility renovation, welcome/greeting team, Sunday morning café with free food and coffee, “free gift” follow-up of first-time guests, and a “Cornerstone 101” new and interested members orientation; (2) an active and growing adult “small group” ministry with on-campus Sunday morning groups, off-campus home-based groups, and men’s and women’s study and activity groups, which grew from 4 to 11 groups; and (3) a renewed vision for “invest-and-invite” outreach and community ministry, including partnerships with local schools.

Context: Suburban Atlanta church, following the departure of the long-term founding Pastor; 2 paid staff. Growth: The church grew in attendance and membership during my tenure.Initiatives: Led the church in re-visioning and some re-structuring. Began a Wednesday night schedule, including a church-wide fellowship meal, adult study, and youth group.

Growth: Led the church to an increased worship attendance of 300% in 2 Sunday morning services, and from 1 to 4 paid staff. Initiatives: Led in vision implementation, including re-naming, re-locating, and re-launching. Led 2 disaster relief trips to Gulfport, Mississippi for Hurricane Katrina clean-up.

Context: Suburban Denver, Colorado church of 500+ in 3 Sunday-morning services; 8 paid staff.Planned and led worship for 4 weekly services, conducted adult choir (which grew from 35 to 50) and adult orchestra (which grew from 10 to 20), and started and led a praise team and contemporary praise band.

Context: Northeast Georgia area (Athens) church of 325+ in 1 Sunday-morning service, following a nine-month interim period after the previous pastor’s retirement after a 30-year tenure; 4 paid staff.

Context: Suburban Denver, Colorado church plant (of Denver’s Riverside Baptist Church); grew from 180 to over 400 during my tenure; 3 paid staff. Planned and led worship 3 times weekly, developed and conducted orchestra (which grew from 7 to over 20), led the youth ministry (which grew from 15 to over 70 students), developed and led a youth sponsor/leadership team, and led youth mission trips to Henderson/Las Vegas, NV, Fremont/Omaha, NE, and Boise, ID. Led youth ministry through the loss of one of our members, John Tomlin, in the Columbine High School massacre.
