Woosh’s wireless internet products were the most price competitive available on the market at the time. The wireless network was based on 130 cell sites in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and the Southland region, providing coverage to more than 200,000 households. The wireless internet and phone products were provided via a TDD-CDMA network.Customer service at Woosh Wireless was based around technical support, trouble shooting the IP wireless technology that Woosh Wireless supplied to their customers in order to access their internet service. This support ranged from installations to faults, whilst also handling account and billing based queries.In my time as a sales representative, I facilitated sales of Woosh Wireless’s products and services through a variety of medium, that being inbound telesales, outbound telesales, face to face sales at branch offices, manning fixed stalls attached to larger events as well as our own mobile events e.g. travelling to university dorms, checking coverage room to room of prospective customers and installing their equipment so they were up and running before we moved to the next event.My key achievements while working at Woosh Wireless where Implementation of “soft skills coaching” program enhancing the customer service skills of representatives with primarily technical/IT backgrounds, catering for the changing needs of the call centre environment. Enhancing relations between head office and regional offices by introduction a culture of active communication and communal understanding of cause and effect. Collaborated with senior management on business improvements as part of a four person ongoing working group internally referred to as “the heart of the help desk”. Attained a high level of flexibility and autonomy by seeking to become and successfully achieve being cross skilled in all areas of the business, expanding my day to day functions beyond that of my contracted role.
