(Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia) Working closely with the Nissan European HQ andTBWA in Paris. This includes Pan European campaign implementation and adaptation, plus fresh, new local campaigns. I covered everything from dealer retail, Nissan internal comms, to web 2.0 campaigns, direct mail, aftersales, tv, print, brochures. Anything the Nissan network required. It involved multiple car launches including launching the new crossover concept - the Nissan Qashqai. One of the biggestaccounts Scandinavia at the time. -

I enjoyed the incredible culture, food and creative opportunity working on Dunhill, Tiger Beer and a few other regional financial clients. I worked on direct marketing platforms for the huge Dunhill Tobacco database in Malaysia, focused around the Horecatrade, as well as regional concepts and design. It was a real copywriter’s dream to learn the science of cigarette and cigar tobacco types, and writing the precision descriptions for packaging and collateral. The other highlight was working on Tiger Beer and crafting their direct marketing platform – Tiger FC. A football club for football fans that owned the game experience in the Horeca environment, building awareness, customer relationships and boosting sales. I learnt proper tone of voice and copy content control as ‘The Punter’ - the coach and football mad driver of Tiger FC - He was loosely based on Bill Shankly - the legendary Liverpool manager. The platform ran for 10 years or more! It also won Best of Show in the DMA, Malaysia awards, 2005. The other bonus was that I met my Hungarian wife in KL...but that's another great story:) -
