I am an experienced Cisco UCCE deployment and support engineer. I deliver expert UCCE services, specialising in reporting. Many UCCE engineers come from a networking background. My background in software and database technologies gives me the edge when it comes to providing reporting solutions. I specialise in UCCE, CUIC, CVP, Amazon Connect, Javascript and SQL Server.As a Cisco UCCE consultant at Westcon for the past 13 years, I developed and supported solutions for clients in the Finance, Telecoms, Public Sector, Emergency Services, Insurance, Legal, Retail and Utilities sectors. I left this role in December 2019 to pursue my development interests as a freelance consultant.I began my career developing real-time software for the Defence industry. I then spent the next decade at Rank Film Laboratories (renamed Deluxe), writing the software to run the world’s fastest film printing machine. I worked with film director Stanley Kubrick to create a digital solution to archive his films. My team won two technical Oscars.As the film industry came under pressure from digitisation, I changed direction and moved to a call centre development role with Cisco. I took my Cisco UCCE specialism to Vodafone, where as head of ICM/UCCE support, I handled Vodafone’s transformation of its call centre to Cisco NAM/ICM. I have extensive experience of: • UCCE configuration and scripting• writing custom reports for CUIC and Webview• Finesse gadgets• writing custom CVP applications using VXML, • Nuance TTS/ASR, Finesse, SocialMiner, EIM, CIM, WIM, ESX, CafeX, CUCM and Java connecting to back-end systems • Cisco's Outbound DialerI have recently been working on an Amazon Connect proof of concept using Lambda, LexBots, database lookups (DynamoDB), email (SES) and SMS (SNS).When I am not delivering contact centre solutions, I swim 8km a week. I would like to be a keen cyclist but in these challenging times I am mainly to be found on my bike rollers in the garden.
