Based in Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance I provided onsite structural support for 6 bays of heavy maintenance dealing with all issues with Primary and Secondary Structure. This involves but is not limited to SRM Queries, Repair Design, Drawing Requests, Submitting Service Requests to Boeing, and Reviewing Check Paperwork. As my role is shift-based to provide 24-hour engineering support I also support with AOG Requests and support the other lines of heavy maintenance. My Individual responsibilities within the department are to support 737 Picklefork Replacements and to liaise with sale and end-of-lease Reps when an A/C is leaving the fleet. To date, I have supported 15 Picklefork Frame Replacements (LH and RH Sides), 7 A/C Sales, and 13 End-of-Lease.

Within this role, I conducted Factory Inspection and Aircraft Delivery of 19 Boeing 737-8200 Aircraft. I also performed an additional 21 inspections on A/C that were due to be delivered.

Worked alongside Boeing Service Engineer in the Operation Center.

After a short period, I was promoted to Service Engineer where I supported the onsite engineers that had been sent to the site. These were much more challenging issues that couldn't be resolved through basic troubleshooting. The role involved working together with the customer, the engineers, and the banks to resolve the issues. As the last line in Support, the problem had to be resolved during this visit.

My main role was to provide technical service support to customers with their PDQ Device (card machines) via a telephone call. Tasks that would be completed include Technical Support, Training on how to use the device, booking an engineer to attend the site if the fault could not be resolved, transferring calls to the relevant department, meeting company standards with regard to call quality and time management.
