I have many years of experience in financial statements audit, under Polish as well as international financial statement reporting standards.As the Head of FRM I supervised audits of financial risk management and treasury management processes in the largest banks in Poland. Furthermore, I have many years of experience in advisory services for clients in the financial sector. I have dealt with projects for big banks and financial institutions concerning financial risk management, including advisory on financial instruments accounting, financial sector securities transactions and issuances, SOX 404 implementation projects, internal audit, retail and corporate loan portfolio review and credit risk management. I have participated in mergers and acquisitions’ projects for big International banks and international private equity funds. This covered financial and tax due diligence including valuation of loan portfolios in connection with acquisition of top banks listed in Poland. Moreover, I led projects of purchase price allocation according to IFRS 3 after the above banks acquisitions.I have cooperated with such institutions as the National Bank of Poland, the Polish Banks Association, and the Financial Supervision Committee. All views expressed are my own.
