My motivation to be a chemical engineer was to, through my knowledge, help deliver services and goods to the customers. My first opportunities in the corporate life enabled me to understand all the variables that come into play when delivering vital medicine to patients. Through my Co-Ops, I had the incredible experience to work with cross-functional teams to detect and prevent any issues in the manufacturing area. As well as to create strategies to mitigate risks and ensure a reliable supply to patients.Contributing to the community is also in my DNA. I started in 2016 participating in the Autism Speak Walk/Run 5k, supporting bake sales to raise funds to charities, and visiting schools to motivate k-12 students to pursue a career in STEM. The most recent community work was last summer where I led and organized a team to visit Humane Society of Puerto Rico and Boys and Girls Club de Puerto Rico. After graduation, I was fortunate enough to land in an amazing opportunity in which I was able to contribute to different organizations. Some of my highlights are:1. Introduced a counter equipment to reduce material waste with an annual value of $0.5MM in 2017.2. Implemented a material consumption strategy on the purification area that will save up to $12.1MM in material costs and increased efficiency by 49%.My aspiration is to be a global supply chain leader with a diverse experience in multiple industries and sectors. At this time, I am developing data analytics and corporate strategies.
