• Design and Development of Cannabinoids based novel molecules for pain, anxiety, and sleep disorders.• Development of novel full spectrum cannabinoids and terpenes-based formulations for pain therapeutics.• Analytical Method development and validation of standard opioids compounds and Toxicology studies.

• Worked on Internal Innovation project to discover new drug molecules for the treatment of external parasites, pain and pruritus.• Designed and synthesized several new compounds, improved synthetic routes and produced several grams of lead compounds for clinical trials.• Carried out microsome stability assay for new internal compounds and finished bio-analytical work involving LC-MS/MS and HPLC method development and trouble-shooting.• Overall contribution allowed our department to develop three different assets to be sold/partnered for clinical development.

• Carried out competitive search to identify and propose opportunities for the new product planning for Animal Health Drug Discovery.• Proposed and executed a novel protecting-group synthetic strategy for SCY-344 to enable multi-kilogram synthesis and patent filing.• Synthetic and analytical work on SCY-344 contributed towards partnering a novel flea and tick compounds with other pharma companies.• Proposed and completed novel synthetic route for lead compound for EP4-antagonist program enabling manufacturing and patent filing.

• Worked on design and synthesis of several analogs of ‘8-hydroxy quinazoline’ scaffolds towards lead-generation program for the treatment of ‘heartworm’ in dogs. Prepared multi-gram quantities of starting material for other group members to make new analogs.• Explored and helped the team to synthesize ‘hydroxy leucine’ towards cyclophilin inhibitors program. • Prepared and synthesized several ‘trisubstituted pyridines’ and ‘pyrazolo pyridines’ to discover novel anti-viral compounds inhibiting PI4K3b kinase.• Worked and completed a challenging synthesis of ‘substituted quinazoline’ to make ATP competitive inhibitors of P70S6K kinases for the treatment of cancer.• Several grams of ‘tetra-substituted’ benzamide materials were synthesized and produced novel FSHR agonists for the treatment of ‘anti-fertility’.• Worked on novel fused-heterocyclic systems and synthesized compounds towards ATP-competitive and allosteric modulators of AKT, NIK and MAPKAP kinases.• Carried out solid-phase peptide synthesis to make small cyclic peptides for N-Cadherin activity modification towards cancer treatment.
