I’m a qualified housing professional and manager with 25 years experience, currently working as a Customer Engagement Manager.I have experience of working in a management role within a community based Association. With day to day operational housing management, housing strategy, policy and performance. I was also influential in developing the implementation of a new housing management system and digital platform. Project Managing the triennial tenants satisfaction surveys.My skill set is within Service/Operational Management and includes Housing Management, Homelessness, Housing Law, Customer Services, Welfare Benefits, Quality Assurance, Service Development, Performance Management, Contract Management, Housing Rights and Project Management . I have experience in developing Housing & Homelessness strategic plans at Local Government level, project plans, court advice project, budgeting and operational policies and procedures. I have experience of voluntary sector governance and development. I’m currently a board member of the Nether Lochaber Community Association and, Nether Lochaber Community Council and a former management board member of the Chartered Institute of Housing in Scotland and Homeless Action Scotland. I previously participated with voluntary work for Youth for Economic Justice which included scoping potential project for development to help expand its area of business within the UK to tackle poverty and exclusion. Looking into micro finance projects developed in Australia and developing countries. I have previous experience as a chairperson, staff member and link officer within the voluntary sector.I studied martial arts in particular Karate and a senior grade member of JKS Edinburgh affiliated to JKS Scotland and JKS Honbu dojo in Japan.I have a keen interest in Secular Buddhism, the Arts, Photography, Music along with Traveling, Social Justice, Public Sector, Politics, Welfare and Social Affairs.
