I am newly seeking work as of September 2024. I was previously a Senior Software engineer at Chime, a Senior Software Engineer at Affirm (impacted by a reduction in force), and a software engineer at Amazon Web Services and Wayfair after graduating at the top of my class from Hamilton College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and minors in Physics and Mathematics.At this time, I am considering openings that allow me to make a career shift from web development to other areas of work. I'm especially interested in the areas of urban development and planning, and logistics, including public transit, other mass transit (rail, trucking, etc), and supply chain management. On account of this, I'm searching for software engineering roles, or adjacent roles in software engineering management, product/project management, or software engineering operations (e.g. a role working to improve workplace efficiency and dynamics for software engineers and their closest peers). I am also actively interested in pursuing further education to support my entry into these fields, particularly if the education can be obtained concurrently with the work.With 9+ years of industry experience, building efficient, resilient, well-structured software, I'm detail-oriented and impact-driven. I work continuously to improve my communication skills, and strive to always be open-minded and easy to talk to. Within tech, the areas of efficient bureaucratic infrastructure and scalability are of particular interest to me. My history of building new and expanding existing software systems to support new functionality while improving long-term stability and scalability is a track record of creative problem-solving that proves itself.Finally, I'm committed to generating meaningful change in tech within the areas of team efficiency, employee development, and workplace diversity, and outside of tech in the area of urban development and planning.
