We are designing and testing a pod for the SpaceX Hyperloop Competition. The Hyperloop is a proposed alternative to current high speed trains. The competition is for designing a prototype pod that will be tested on a track built by SpaceX in Hawthorn, California. As a member of this team I have worked on the design, analysis, and testing for the braking system on our pod.

Worked extensively with requirements verification and testing of the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG). Assist test and design engineers with writing test protocols and reports to ensure the proper requirements were met, failure investigations, and data analysis. Developed a Matlab application to streamline processing requirements as they are verified at the test site and entered into living Excel spreadsheets.

Aided more senior engineers in day to day tasks involving the Alaris Pump Module. Wrote test protocols and test reports, assisted in design review and qualifications of new suppliers, designed and updated test fixtures used to ensure product quality. Used Solidworks to design a test fixture used to ensure proper function of a pressure transducer before it is put into a production part. Developed and tested prototypes through use of a 3D printer prior machining to ensure proper fit and function of parts.
