As a representative for the institute, I was also involved with the faculties PhD network PROBE, an informal structure of all institutes from the Faculty of Science, serving as a gateway between the faculty and PhD students.

Department of Analytical Chemistry (chemometrics) in collaboration with the department of Molecular and Laser PhysicsAs a PhD-student, I was developing data analysis tools for the analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds. Together with experts I was working towards medical diagnostics and health monitoring by means of urine and breath analysis. In more technical terms: my aim was to develop new chemometrical tools to contribute to the establishment of breath analysis for robust, versatile and non-invasive disease diagnosis and monitoring, and the integration of breathomics with the current bio fluid studies.
