About Patrick K.

Provide technical leadership and strategy to modernize and transform the current digital estate.Recently I accepted the challenge to be a member of a new Enterprise Architecture program as part of an established IT organization at a Fortune 100 company as Platform Architect. This challenge meant leaving the management role I held in the Solution Delivery team so that I could focus on the strategic initiatives at hand. While leaving the team I had built behind to do this was not an easy choice, it was fulfilling because it allowed my team members to step up and fill new leadership roles. For me, it meant shifting to being able to focus on helping define the strategy for the organization as we move forward. My journey in application development has been a natural fit. Applying my software development experience with infrastructure and networking knowledge to interact with information technology and business groups to develop cutting-edge solutions. Leading Solution Delivery and custom development teams is a rewarding opportunity that brought me into the world of Agile and DevOps. I believe DevOps is a core practice of successful technical teams and provides a framework and approach to modernizing today's technological landscape. As a leader, I welcome change, believing that how we lead, adapt, and grow makes us who we are. My leadership views are that leaders must own the responsibilities and actions of their team and empower them to achieve great things. A leader's role is to enable a team to thrive by removing obstacles and guiding them to create. The focus is not on failures, as these are learning experiences that allow the team to mature and thrive to reach an even higher potential.Specialties: Enterprise Architecture, Team Leadership, Architecture, Distributed Architecture, SOA, .Net Development, Azure, Dev-Ops, Domain Driven Design, Agile, Scrum Master, Azure-DevOps/VSTS, Continuous Improvement, Team Empowerment, Mobile Implementation, ASP.Net, AJAX, C#, VB.net, SQL Server, SSRS, TFS, Force.com
