Developed engineering modeling skills in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD Civil 3D software.2. Performed Lifecyle costing analysis (LLCA) for pressure pipeline networks and pump stations.3. Prepared hydraulic calculations for pressure pipeline networks and pump stations, and acquired intensive knowledge of design principles and standards.

I was seconded at the Kendal Power Station Continuous Ash Disposal Facility Extension Package 1 Project and as the Principal Contractor we were required to extend the existing disposal facility at Kendal Power Station and construct associated bulk earthworks, civil works, lining works and ancillary works. (Project Value = R651,022,438.63)Achievements:1. Boosted the project's revenue by 36% on the supply and installation of Flygt pumps through effective negotiations with the supplier.2. Achieved a 6% saving on the supply of Gabion baskets and mattresses by conducting a thorough supplier evaluation and adjudication.3. Pioneered subcontractor adjudication, appointment and management for the construction of gabion baskets and mattresses at the stream diversion and site establishment work packages valued at R 25 million.4. Spearheaded subcontractor teams of 60+ people, and ensured safety and quality conformance.5. NEC contract administration and control by means of completing daily diaries, requests for information, concession reports and potential delay notices.6. Prepared project management documents such as method statements, risk assessments, quality control plans, construction programmes, cost reports, cost forecasts and quality data books.

I was seconded at the Belfast Implementation Project and as the Principal Contractor we were required to construct enabling works supporting infrastructure, mine and plant area bulk earthworks and associated infrastructure (Project Value = R 850,359,668.60).Achievements:1. Introduced telecommunication stakboxes which saved the project R 160 thousand and accelerated the installation rate.2. Increased the project revenue by R 4 million by identifying combined services sleeves which were overlooked by the Client during the internal roads design phase.3. Planned and executed the construction of Maccaferri 11.5m mechanised earth retaining gabion wall within the approved schedule, budget and quality.4. Conducted subcontractor adjudication, appointment and management for the Maccaferri 11.5m mechanised earth retaining gabion wall, combined services sleeves, weigh bridge sleeves, telecommunication sleeves, internal parking and walkway paving, early works package and explosive magazines.5. GCC contract administration and control by means of completing daily diaries, requests for information, field engineering queries and site instructions.

I was seconded at the Loeriesfontein 2 / Khobab Wind farm. Murray & Roberts Infrastructure was in a consortium partnership with Consolidation Power Projects (Conco) and we were responsible for the construction of 122 wind turbine generators.Achievements:1. Implemented the company's quality and document management systems and ensured conformance to ISO 9001 requirements.2. Achieved an excellent 90% on internal quality audits.3. Headed a team of document controllers and the site laboratory.4. Steered the digital document storage on Sharepoint.5. Reported on the consortium socioeconomic development of the project for 29 months where I monitored monthly project data to ensure that the project achieved the quarterly SED obligations stipulated in the EPC Contract.

I was seconded at the two projects during my internship, namely Styldrift Merensky Surface Silos and The upgrading of N4 Section 4 toll road from km 20.66 to km 38.0.Achievements:1. Supervised construction teams where I ensured quality and safety conformance.2. Calculated final quantities.3. Monitored daily plant and diesel cost and ensured that plant is efficiently used on site.4. Procured project resources using Oracle JDE.
