Was primarily responsible for managing business development activities of select foreign companies in India having interest in the oil & gas, power and mineral sectors, including British Gas/BG Group (UK), Anadarko Petroleum (US), Rio Tinto (UK/Australia), Halliburton Inc. (US), Jardine Fleming (Hong Kong/UK), Scintrex (Canada) and other companies. Specifically responsible for managing BG’s portfolio and played a key role in establishing BG as one of the largest foreign oil & gas players in India. Played a major role in formation of Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL, a JV between BG and GAIL) for city gas distribution project in Mumbai. Supported the evaluation of Natural Gas/LNG market and opportunities in the upstream sector in India, leading to major investments.
