I Manage a Network Infrastructure Services Team (NIST) of network engineers responsible for maintaining over 100 servers and services spread over 16 offices for Greenhorne & O'Mara.

Lead a team of network engineers in day-to-day tasks of managing an enterprise network over 100 servers in 15 offices (both physical and virtual). Part of a team of leaders that analyzes, recommends and approves large infrastructure upgrades, such as WAN improvements and complete VoIP system installs. Responsible for providing timely support to development group and their server needs. Track and document 99.99% uptime of our services and services (unplanned core time). Monitor and shape all traffic for a 14 office WAN. Oversee all server related purchases and upgrades. Oversaw and managed the build out of a new facility followed by the network infrastructure side of G&O’s corporate relocation project involving 300 users and 50 servers over a weekend. Disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing. Responsible for all annual IT budgets. G&O occasionally acquired smaller firms and I oversaw the merging of the networks and technology.

Designed immediate solutions for major network collision issues. Redesigned corporate wide backup scheme. Analyzed and presented the benefits’ of tying G&O’s offices together a WAN. Upgraded all current Netware 3.11 server to 4.1. Upgraded all server to Windows Active Directory. Initial install of Citrix and VMware environment. Led conversion from Netware to Active Directory across the enterprise.

Administrator overseeing 14 Novell servers and 10 Windows NT servers, general PC/MAC help-desksupport to 700+ users and general LAN administration. Involved in final decision-making for all upgradesand any changes in LAN SW/HW. Responsible for tape back-up procedures. Was the lead overseeing theNovell 3.11 to 4.1 upgrade, including selecting hardware and configuring for 12 servers. Set up andconfigured network for remote dial-in access for cc:Mail, general access to Novell LAN. cc:Mailadministrator for 700+ users. Cheyenne ARCserve and Innoculan administration.
