The Disaster Program Specialist (DPS) is responsible for taking full cycle responsibility to provide service delivery programs within a subset of the Disaster Program Managers assigned territory and under the supervision and authority of the DPM. The DPS will accomplish this responsibility largely through the support, development and operational guidance of a team of trained volunteer leaders, volunteers and partners, as well as participate in the implementation and development of initiatives to increase Red Cross visibility through program/service delivery.

Represent the citizens of Ward 4 on the city's Board of Aldermen, which is the legislative body for the City of Petal.

Editing and updating IT curriculum, writing assessment items, presenting at annual MACTE conference, and training new teachers in the Methods course.

Taught computer repair & maintenance, networking, HTML, & Visual Basic to high school CTE students. In addition, I worked as a member of the IT team for the district, selecting and implementing technology solutions.Teaching InfoTech I and II classes, including troubleshooting, hardware, safety, operating systems, network cabling, servers, and network infrastructure. Also responsible for HS technology budgeting and asset acquisition, setup, and fixed asset inventory. Other duties include account creation and management, WiFi system management, and setting up phones and users with Cisco Callmanager.
